Night falls and the last day of the year gives way to the longest night. The brilliant climax of another December month on the Island comes to an end. The mouth-watering odors of honey cake, biscuits, tropical fruit and liqueurs hang in the air. In the incredible Funchal bay, the privileged view gives all signs of a festival that doesn’t want to end. This spectacle has been recognized by the Guinness World Book of Records (2006-2012) as the biggest of it’s kind and is the perfect opportunity to welcome in the New Year from the ocean. The day will be filled with fun and entertainment and there are no half-measures in offering a breathtaking experience for those that come to see the New Year’s Evening with us!
Program starting from Calheta
For the 4th time we organize a special New Year’s Eve from Calheta including a visit to the fireworks in Funchal.
This year we are organizing the dinner in Marina Azul restaurant in the harbor of Calheta and you can choose to enjoy the fireworks by boat or minivan in Funchal.
Restaurant Marina Azul
Between around 19h00 and 21h30 you will enjoy a lovely a la carte dinner including drinks (Red & White House Wine, Beer or Soft Drinks ). We have not a special menu for you, but you can choose between a starter, main course and dessert from the extensive menu.
Boat trip to Fireworks Funchal
Due to Covid restrictions the boot tour is cancelled.
You will be picked-up at the restaurant at 21.30 and sailing to the front of Funchal to enjoy a lovely New Year’s Eve party and spectacular views of the fireworks at 00h00 over Funchal City.
The boat is licensed for 25 people but due to Covid 19 restrictions we only accept 15 people. The boat has a toilet and a bar. The boat trip includes: Open bar including Sparkling Wine
Minivan to fireworks Funchal
You will be picked-up at the restaurant at 22.00 and brought to the front of Funchal to enjoy a lovely New Year’s Eve party and spectacular views of the fireworks at 00h00 over Funchal City.
