Festa Gastronómica do Caniço

In this line of thinking, we couldn’t help but share our “gastronomic opera” with you. Due to the fact that we cannot be together in our usual and very busy Gastronomic Festival, but taking into account that this Board continues to believe in the immense potential of local commerce, it is our objective to divulge, foster and encourage the economy of our parish, and particularly in this case, the restoration.
To this end, our Gastronomic Festival 2020 assumes a vanguardist role, in a special edition with live transmission from some restaurants in Caniço.
It is also our objective to divulge in parallel with our kitchen, some handicraft, bars and delicacies made from two key elements that assume, more and more, the protagonism in the culinary canicence: the tabaibo and, obviously, the Onion, King and Queen of the “party”.
This online edition of the event is also a way to reach our emigrants all over the world, as well as all Madeirans and, clearly, the “Caniceiros” who come to Caniço every year to the Gastronomic Festival to try the local restaurants and their delicacies.
